A calming woodland garden is located behind Retreat on Main, as well as both cottages. Winding gravel & brick walks connect the houses. Benches and paired seating are found throughout this serene garden area. A prayer walk provides a resting bench for quiet time in a quiet place. In the center of the woodland garden, a shaded circular picnic area views a lovely fountain. Many varieties of trees and plantings, including a period camellia garden are along the walk.
Couples love romantic moments in the evening on the swing under the old magnolia. It’s not unusual to catch a glimpse of a guest, with a book across their chest, lulled to a nap by the tree swing.
Envelope yourself in hammocks located in The Main House pool area and between the cottages. Allow the sun which slightly pierces through the tree branches to serve as a reminder, for the moment, you are not held captive to the workplace!
