Many private areas for relaxation can be found throughout the grounds. Winding garden walks lead the way to hammocks, chaise lounges, tables and chairs in group, single and duo settings, benches, and a swing under a century old magnolia.
Surrounded by lush foliage, a Koi pond, and outbuildings original to The Main House, the large in-ground swimming pool is open from dawn to dusk. A lovely peaceful place is best described as this area of the grounds where you can enjoy a good swim, soak in summer breezes, retreat to both shady and sunny settings for relaxation, and get a tan!
A serene woodland garden is located behind Retreat on Main as well as both cottages. A fountain and circular resting/picnic spot encourage guests to slow down, breathe deep and enjoy! The Garden Cottage has a lovely front boxwood garden with picket fencing and perennial blooms. Within the gardens at Breeden Inn, seemingly endless varieties of trees, period plants, flowering vines and plants, and aquatic plant life abound.
