Welcome to Bennettsville, located in South Carolina’s Pee Dee Region. Named for the Pee Dee Native American tribe who lived and hunted its fields and rivers, this part of the state has one of the South’s greatest river systems. The Great Pee Dee and the Little Pee Dee rivers wind through the region. Sportsmen are drawn to this mecca known for its great hunting and fishing.
Florence is the Pee Dee’s center, with surrounding cities, towns and communities. If time allows the exploring of this most interesting region, we have included a list of things to do during your stay at the Inn. In addition to exploring Bennettsville, many guests enjoy day trips to nearby towns where they visit gardens, antique shops and auctions, museums, historic touring, the beaches, recreational activities, festivals, shopping and dining. Though several suggestions on the list are not in the Pee Dee region, most are within 15 minutes to an hour. All are within two hours of the Inn and can easily make a nice day trip.
